This past Saturday I was lucky enough to join the Vaughan Vikings in their annual fundraiser, a car wash and bake sale in Vaughan. The girls softball team donated 50% of the money raised towards the Life For Luke Foundation. Life For Luke was started in 2001 in memory of Luke Liegghio, a fourteen month old diagnosed with Niemann-Pick Type C, a very rare genetic disease without a cure.
It was my honour to be present and support the Team and the Life for Luke Foundation! I met many wonderful people and was humbled to meet the founders of the Life for Luke Foundation.
The day was a success! Thank you to the organizers and I hope to be a part of your day next year! Way to go girls!
